Woo so here's the continuous writing essay i did for SPM Trial ! Again pls don't judge me, i got 44 out of 50 for this so i'm gradually improving ! Bcs 42 during end-of-year exam last year, 43 during mid-year exam and now for SPM trial exam i received 44~ This one is kinda inspired by the horror movie Mama and yes, enjoy ouo P.s. i got 90% for English. My continuous writing essay is the highest in my class but i'm second highest overall tho sobs bcs i'm weak in paper 2. Oh and i chose question 4 which is 'Write a short story that begins with: "She never told her best friend what actually happened..."'. Ok ok so enjoy ouo

Macabre

She never told her best friend what actually happened during her childhood that made her currently an orphan. That was when she unlocked the chest that kept her dark past and looked back at what happened to her about 17 years ago.

Victoria, simply called as Tori, was in the dining hall at 2 o'clock in the morning when a loud crash was heard. The sound of the crash echoed in the mansion and quickly came the parents of Tori. Her mother carried her in her embrace as she lulled her to sleep. "She's breaking the mirrors again", said the mother to her husband who only cleaned up the scattering pieces of shattered glass in silence. The parents were scared that Tori's harmful habit would come back again after seeing the psychiatrist, and what they fear the most has come true. What they didn't know was that it was not a habit, however it was more eerie than that and Tori was well aware of what was happening to her.

A couple of days later, Tori was finally alone in their mansion. But really, she was not alone as she was playing in her bedroom with a figure that was hard to describe. The figure was of a magnificently beautiful woman but at the same time the woman is not really human as she is a ghost. Just a beautiful ghost who wants to have her own child and that child was Tori. Tori knew the woman was a ghost, despite her young age, she was able to tell the differences. But somehow, Tori was not able to drag herself away from the woman as her graceful presence simply attracts her like how bees are attracted to flowers.

Their day was spent well with playing dress-up in Tori's bedroom when the woman spoke in her beautiful voice. "My darling Tori, I am your mother, am I right ?", Tori nodded as an answer to her question. "Your only mother ?", asked the woman again. In result, Tori looked at her silently, unable to answer because she knew she still had her biological mother. The ghostly woman however only smiled. But the smile was mischievous, because in her head existed the most diabolical plan she knew was going to go well. "Do me a favor, and kill your biological mother", the woman asked in such a nice way with that lovely voice of hers that Tori was unable to decline her plead.

And one night, the incident happened with only Tori, the ghost who claims herself as Tori's mother, and Tori's biological mother who was sleeping in the master bedroom. Tori's father was out of town, on his business trip. Tori was careful as she knew she was not supposed to kill and leave a trace. So she took a sharp icicle which she had earlier prepared. Tori slowly opened the door of the master bedroom and tiptoed so lightly towards her sleeping mother that not even a creak was heard. Tori loved her biological mother who had always cared for her, but throughout the whole year, her love towards the ghostly woman increased much more. Tori subtly kissed her mother's forehead and with a stab in her heart, the life of Tori's biological mother ended. Tori let out a single tear as she watched her mother's face become pale, as white as snow. And that night, she slept comfortably in her ghost mother's embrace. The sharp icicle that has been stabbed into her biological mother's heart slowly melted, melting Tori's fingerprint on it along the way, leaving no trace behind.

The next day when Tori's father finally came back home, his eyes were red from crying and mourning over the death of his loving wife. The incident was spread around until the whole neighbourhood and also the police knew. Tori's father was unable to explain to the police about what happened because he was out of town. However one fact aroused the suspicions of the police, how Tori and her dead mother were the only ones at home the previous day. The police's assumption made Tori's father become bewildered as he did not believe even a bit that Tori would kill her own mother. "She's only an innocent and lambent five years old girl !", her father roared in anger. But the word 'lambent' made him realize, the little child was not cheerful anymore and her habit was one of the most nocuous thing in the world. However, he kept silent when the police left the mansion and Tori's father shrugged away the thought of his daughter being a murderer.

Exactly that night, another macabre happened in the mansion and a ten-inch dagger was stabbed through Tori's father's heart and his life ended as well. Two blood-shot eyes twinkled and a maniacal laughter was heard from the female ghost. The woman held out her hand towards Tori and spoke in the same beautiful voice she owned. "Come, my little assassin. We shall escape this hellhole and build up another life with just the both of us", Tori took the woman's hand and both of them went far away where no one knows them.

After 17 years, the adorable little Tori grew up into a stunning lady, making the ghost mother proud. Tori lived her life as a university student with amazing grades but she was notorious for being the most silent and mysterious beauty in her campus. Not even a single soul knows about her past life, not even her own best friend whom she knew since 3 years ago who only acknowledged Tori as an orphan. Tori's best friend thought Tori's parents' death were too tragic to be told, when in reality, Tori knew she couldn't tell anybody because once the truth is unraveled, she would have to kill again. But she wouldn't mind doing that because her love towards her ghost mother was as strong as ever.
